Our Wines

Odonata Wines Odonata produces small batches of each of our wines. Please stay in touch as we sell out quickly! Our wines are first released to our Preview Program Members, and the remaining (if any) is available for general release directly from the winery.

Odonata is the realization of my dream. I believe that high quality grapes are crucial for making high quality wines. Therefore, I am farming the majority of my production right here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I work tirelessly in all of my vineyards and very closely with the growers of my other grapes. I feel it is essential to be in the vineyard to ensure the highest quality wine from the ground to the glass.

2008 Chardonnay
Santa Cruz Mountains
Peter Martin Ray Vineyard
$24.00

Aromas of toasty oak dancing with stone fruits and pear come forward in this Chardonnay. Opulent fruit is at the forefront of the experience, while crisp minerality flows through the core and into the finish as a testament to this great vineyard. This wine will pair with pretty much anything that is lightly smoked. Chicken, seafood, and even spicy food would all be good. It would be a great accompaniment with many appetizers as well as move you through a nice dinner of salmon, cream sauces and it would even play well with light tomato sauces!

2008 Grenache
Alta Mesa
$28.00

The aromatics of our Grenache are full of raspberries and white pepper. The mouth-feel is luscious and textured; it’s one smooth ride. I am not one to call my wines cocktail wines, but this one is good for whenever you pull the cork! This Grenache would pair well with poultry, fish, as well as more exotic, spicy fare.

2007 Durif
Mendocino
Mc Dowell Valley Vineyard
$28.00

The aromatics are a spice cabinet full of warming spices like cinnamon and cardamom. There are hints of smoke starting to come to the surface. The mouth-feel is round with balanced tannins. Black fruits of cassis and blackberry compote slide across the tongue. The spiciness sticks with you into the finish, while the balanced acidity leaves you with a mouth-watering taste for more.
